I am currently studying for audit and BEC, so what exactly is your strategy on studying? I have about a month left, and I want to do a second study session.

      1. Watch Roger CPA Review video, following along in his book
      2. Go back over the chapter in the book, making notecards
      3. Do practice problems related to that section in Wiley book, checking answer after each question (whether right or wrong.)

Once I’m done going through all of the material, I’ll do practice exams on the software that came with my CPA package, just to get an overview of mixed problems, and practice doing them up to speed. What method did you use to study so far?

What are you up to education-wise at the moment? Do you have a BS? What school are you going to? Do you have a job for after graduation?

I really like your blog! I am graduating in May and plan on taking the first section of the CPA exam in October. I am also thinking of using Roger CPA as my review course. How much time (weeks/months) did you spend studying for each section? Do you think it is best to take FAR (the hardest section) first? Was it really that difficult? (You got a really good score!) Do you have any tips for studying/taking the exam? Also what made you pick Roger CPA over Becker or the other courses?

Sorry for all the questions! It’s just nice to hear from someone who has already gone through what i’ll be going through. Thanks!

I gave myself a few months for each. If you look at the sidebar of this blog, I have a little chart showing the total hours I spent studying for each section, and the date I took each section. I started studying for each subsequent section as soon as I took the section before it.

I really like your blog. I am currently taking accounting but not as a major as a requirement. I am not very good at it. Although in my last accouning class I received an A. I am not sure that I could do this again but I am willing to try. I am a graphic artist by trade so there is that whole left brain-right brain thing happening. I do thank you for simplifying some of the term and ideas. I will try to follow the blog. wishing you well in all your exams.
