Actually, I have LOTS of stairs to navigate because I walk from my car out of the parking garage (3 stories of stairs down) then UP to the train station. Then up OUT of the train station, followed by a short walk to the office. And then the reverse on the way home. So the stair time might outweigh the rolling time.

Thanks for your tips though, because I will only be going to the office for another couple of days, and then off to clients, with no train ride to get there! And at some point I will travel for work and your advice sounds spot-on for the airport!

I don't do a lot of traveling. What I do is through airports. I have a shoulder strap computer bag and a wheeled carry on. I'm able to navigate the wheeled carry on through escalators and stairs. I just drag it behind me on the stairs, and it clunks up. So far, the bags have been sturdy enough to handle it.

Can you get a wheeled bag with a strap that you can use only when you have to take stairs? Most of the time you would be using the wheels, I imagine.
