CPA Review Materials
So, as I begin preparing to take the CPA exam, I’m making an assessment of what CPA review materials I can get for free, and what I still need to get.
Lucky for me, a family friend gave me this whole box of books for free! I almost couldn’t even carry these books up to my room. I’m small, but there are still a lot of pages of study material in this box:

The dates of the books range from 2004 to 2008. I know that the CPA exam changes a little each year, but I’m guessing the majority of what’s in these books will be good study materials. Looks like I’ve got Becker, Wiley, and Gleims in my big box. Now I just need to figure out what has changed on the exam since these books were published!

Hi Kel,
If you are going to invest the time to study and money for the exam, then I highly recommend that you invest in 2009 materials – whatever review course you decide to go with.
You can get a 2009 Wiley book for around $40-$50…

Sounds like a good 2 cents, especially since I’ve read your blog and I know that you know what you’re talking about! I’m going to put some research into costs of materials this weekend. It’s nice to know that the books are in my price range at least, as the review courses are definitely not!
Just my $.02. Good luck!
I am also buying CPA review material these days. Just looking for Becky whatever year from ebay. well…people said that was good. I will start to study CPA asa I finish all final exams. Good luck for both of us.
To Lala: Thanks for the good luck wishes, and good luck to you too! Let me know how it goes!
Hi,
Did you buy the review materials before you knew the status of your application?
I applied like 4 weeks ago, I haven’t received a confirmation or anything so I don’t know whether my application was approved or not.
I don’t want to buy stuff then end up not using it.
Thanks
