Samsung Omnia

Well, this is a little off-topic from accounting, but I got my first PDA yesterday! I’ve been wanting one for ages, and I managed to go to the Verizon store the day the Samsung Omnia was on sale, so I ended up with quite a nice one!

I am still figuring out all the things I can do with it. The part I am most excited about is setting up a phonebook and calendar. I could do these with my old cellphone, but I might actually use them on this one, haha.

For those of you who use Twitter from your “mobile device” do you have any recommendations for what application I should use? I’m not sure if I even need to have Twitter in my pocket all day though!

So, I have finally arrived in the pocket-PC age. It’s nice to be here.

I’m pretty sure you can use tweetdeck.

    Check it out – http://www.tweetdeck.com/beta/

Thanks for the tip. I use TweetDeck on my laptop, and I love it, so I’ll look into getting it for my phone now too :) .

OH NOES! It’s all downhill from here!!

I joke with Roger all the time that I blame him for giving me my first smartphone… that was a year and a half ago and I haven’t been without a data plan since. DANGER!!

Actually it’s one of the best things ever. I can accomplish just about everything I need to from my sexy little Q9m including:

*Annoying people I’m hanging out with at the bar
*Working after hours when I probably shouldn’t be
*Tweeting stupid things on the bus ride home
*Twitpic-ing my way through life as if the Internet cares
*Bashing Ben Bernanke from the safety of public transportation

the list goes on and on. Congrats.

Oh and I just use Twitter via mobile web and it works out fine for me. I know there are some other programs depending on what kind of phone you’ve got but I’m Windows Mobile so uh I get no cool stuff :P

    Welcome to the darkside!!

Suprisingly, I tweet less now that I have this phone. I get all my emails on it, and my email is linked to all my facebook, myspace, blog… etc… notifications, so there’s nothing to check when I get home, and I end up not booting up my computer forever. I haven’t put much effort into tweeting through the phone (on purpose, so I don’t get addicted!). I’m sure next time I have to sit at an airport for hours I’ll figure something out though ;)
